🔉 At the #MNLeg, Rep Zeleznikar (R) looked to Norway for childcare ideas. We love it!
But Rep Sencer-Mura (DFL) is right. If we want a childcare system like Norway’s, we have to fund it like Norway.
It’s time to #FundChildcare in Minnesota — so families, kids, & early educators can thrive. 🧸💛
The public comment period for Rethinking I-94 has been extended two weeks to March 23. The community is asking for a THREE MONTH EXTENSION. It's time to call @governorwalz.mn.gov and your state reps and senators. It's appalling that the communities most affected by the highway are treated this way.
They are in an arms race against Americans
It’s day 85 of the ICE occupation of MN.
We keep saying it’s not over - and this is why.
Despite the messages in press conferences, there are still almost 1000 ICE agents here.
While everybody’s online for SOTU, please consider taking a moment to support this incredible effort to feed folks in the Twin Cities.
The work (that doesn’t just feed vegans, that’s just the organizing entity!) is more important than ever. The need isn’t decreasing, and your support is a lifeline.
These dogs are having the time of their lives following this week's historic blizzard in the Northeast. Please enjoy. 14/10 for all

Black-and-white photo of two tabby kittens perched on the seat and that bar thing above the back wheel. A third tuxedo kitten is visible on the other side of the bicycle wheel. They are outside in a scrubby field in the sun.

TODAY is the last full day to support smart, transit-oriented development by submitting a comment in favor of stronger drive-thru restrictions! 🚗🍔🚌
Take just 5 minutes to do so by copy-pasting our message in the thread below.
I’m here to rally for homes and chew bubble gum.
And I’m all out of bubble gum.
The Olympic athletes are amazing and all but today on @metrotransitmn.bsky.social I saw a dude walk up and down the aisle with a beer in a clear Dixie cup and never spilled a drop despite the ice ruts, the potholes, and the bus swerving not to hit a dog. Gold medal performance

Long read
One of the kind of fucked up parts of the ICE occupation here is that a lot of folks want to believe it’s over, and the media seems to tell us it’s over, but folks on the ground are still seeing tons of activity and vulnerable people are still (rightfully) terrified to go outside. We can’t stop yet.
ICE was the quarry target this morning and then driving dangerously through northeast & downtown.
ICE is still very much here and we need to make sure we still have people out keeping watch for our neighbors.
BALL IS IN YOUR COURT, @mndot.mn.gov
Did you participate in one of the Alex Pretti Solidarity Rides in Minnesota on January 31st?
➡️ If so, we'd love to know what the rides meant to you?

Shaver was a Border Patrol agent for over 20 years, mostly working in Ohio, according to his LinkedIn profile. He retired in 2023, and rejoined DHS in 2025 as ICE and Border Patrol surged into areas like the Twin Cities, where he had a 30-day assignment, according to the police report. Shaver is one of several Sandusky, Ohio Border Patrol agents accused in a 2012 lawsuit of racially profiling Latino residents. A federal judge ruled in 2016 their actions did not violate the constitution.
A federal immigration agent deployed to Minnesota accidentally fired his handgun in an Eagan hotel, shooting a bullet through the wall and into the headboard in an adjacent room. Eagan police were dispatched to the Hampton Inn at 3000 Eagandale Place shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 after agent Bradley Shaver, 53, shot his Glock 19 while attempting to change out a part on the handle, according to a police report reviewed by Sahan Journal. The bullet went through the agent’s sweatshirt pocket, through the wall and into the neighboring room, according to the report. The room’s occupant, Aaron Wukawitz, had just checked into the hotel and was walking down the hallway to his room when he heard the gunshot. He got into his room and heard the federal agent cursing and panicking. A bullet was stuck in the headboard above a bedside table. “That could have literally killed me,” Wukawitz told Sahan Journal.
Kristi Noem rehired a retired CBP officer w/a history of racism, and he nearly got himself and an innocent bystander killed with insanely irresponsible gun handling.

Ok here we are, 15 wild turkeys recruiting me into their hive (or whatever it’s called).
Rolling to Omaha, NE for a 2 pro volleyball matches in early April. We often airbnb it with travel, but are looking at hotels this trip. Both games are on Saturday (CHI & Baxter Arena). Have you stayed in Omaha? Holler back. Eyeing the Lauritzen Gardens beauty & troll exhibit, maybe the zoo too..
If Defend 612 was a city department they would give a presentation to the city council with a slideshow charting their amazing response times. And brag about not using any of their overtime budget, because they have no budget.

Local zoning is the way! A lot of these are being stopped or stalled by neighborhood organizing.
These warehouses often need to be purchased, permitted, approved for occupancy and specs. Each one of those steps can be interrupted.
Ppl are pressuring corps not to sell, counties to deny permits, etc
DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIXED FEELINGS?

ICE plans to lease offices throughout the US as part of a secret, monthslong expansion campaign. WIRED is publishing dozens of these locations.

Tl;dr: Greenland announced this to humiliate Trump.
In response, Trump posted a bullshit post, and most American outlets and far far far far too many people On Here posted it as if it had truth value.
