Stand Alone Sci-fi: The Immortal Part of Myself.
Stand alone sci-fi: Neurodiverse
In-between ebook with pride flag and autism infinity symbol
Hi. I write sci-fi and fantasy with autistic and queer main characters - all of them are on Kobo+. My stand alone fantasy In-Between is about an aro/ace autistic single mother who finds out her son is the heir to the elvish thrown when he starts doing magic. Then I have two sci-fi standalone also.
You can like how Gavin is handling the federal invasion and very plainly see the 28,000 reasons he shouldn't be President.
The hero worship is reminding me of how people talked about Giuliani after 9/11 and we all know how that went.

Sen. Van Hollen: "I don't think it's ever wrong to fight for the constitutional rights of one person because if we give up on one person's rights, we threaten everybody's rights...Anyone who is not prepared to stand up and fight for the Constitution doesn't deserve to lead."
Apparently non-binary parents day was yesterday. So yeah.

Star Trek The Search for Spock scene. Our Lord and Savior Spock is pictured in a white robe. He stands surrounded by his shipmates who are all older here than they were in the TV show. Sulu is touching Spock's chest for some reason and he's smiling. Uhura, Chekov, Scotty, and Bones also all seem thrilled to see him. Despite being surrounded by friends, Spock is staring only at Kirk, for obvious reasons.

My adult kid painted this for our hallway. Iβm not much for fish but I adore this and wanted to share.
Two years ago I published NeurodiVeRse about Jupiter, a #nonbinary and #autistic human who found themselves in an advocate role after a politician tried to use us (autistic people) as political fodder. Sound familiar?
It is also on sale for right now.

Screenshot of my review for Lucas. The text reads: adventurous mysterious tense medium-paced Plot- or character-driven? Character Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? Yes Flaws of characters a main focus? No 4.0 The world-building in this novel is great and quite unique for a vampire book. I really liked the idea of having a town where everyone knows that something weird is going on, but chooses to ignore it, and a supernatural council being charged with overseeing and keeping the people in order. I really liked the narrative of a vampire having to stay exactly as they physically were, and how this was adapted and applied to a trans man not being able to have surgery or needing to take hormones anymore. This was such a gut-wrenching feature, and I think lots of trans people would be able to relate to not having access to gender affirming care for whatever reason (probably not as cool as being a vampire). The expansion on the type of supernatural creatures in the town as the novel progressed was great. I thought this was going to be only a vampire novel, so the introduction of nymphs, werewolves, merpeople, and witches was a really cool feature. Finally, the narrative of Lucas having been married before he came out as trans was really refreshing. Most of the books I read with trans characters are younger and, although I don't think Lucas' age was mentioned, him being married previously and for some time suggests that he's not in the 18-21 age range most protagonists are. Overall, a really solid novel, with great characters, and a cool fantasy world.
My newest read for the #transrightsreadathon was Lucas by @mj-james-writes.bsky.social - this was a really unique take on the classic vampire-turning narrative, with a great trans MC, cool background characters, and fantastic world-building!

I am editing. One chapter down. Hoping to get another done before bed.
Honestly this is my vibe right now.
Book one is Lucas - a trans man who is turned into a vampire.
Book two is Phoenix - an autistic aro/ace werewolf who is trying to prove she can be alpha.
Book three is Birk - a non-binary nymph who features heavily in Mika's story.
Interested in helping to fund a queer audiobook? It launches next Monday and I would appreciate a follow and share if inclined.
It is to help fund Mika, book three in my Ember Town series, and is about a lesbian witch in a coven that believes magic is binary.

For me it was divorceβ¦β¦..
My current work in progress is a sci-fi about a trans/non-binary person about a decade in the future dealing with the ramifications of what is currently taking place. I would be lying if I said it wasnβt hard to write while also dealing with all that is happening.
Honestly, what better act of rebellion today then downloading and reading a book about a trans vampire written by an autistic non-binary author? π
