A 14-year old male was riding a Ghostcat E-Bike westbound in the bike lane of 1700 Nautilus while wearing
his helmet. For an unknown reason the bicyclist lost control of his bike and fell to the ground. The bicyclist
was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. It was determined the he sustained an intercranial
hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, orbital fracture, and multiple abrasions. At this time the injuries are not
considered life threatening. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division responded, and is handling the collision investigation.
DUI was determined to not be a factor in the collision.

the intersection with Newton Ave. There were no traffic controls present for the Dodge's direction of travel.
A 34-year old male was riding a class 2 E-Bicycle westbound on Newton Avenue. The E-bicycle failed to stop
at the stop sign before entering the intersection with S 37th St. The Dodge collided broadside with the E-
bicycle. The rider of the E-bicycle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated
fractures to his vertebrae, jaw, multiple ribs, and left wrist. The injuries were determined to be non-life
threatening. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division responded and is handling the investigation. DUI was not a factor for
either party.

to her tibia/fibula. The male pedestrian was treated for a skull fracture and hematoma to back of head.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police
Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and
locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a
pedestrian fatally injured in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, at about 2:08 a.m., a 41-year-old male was crossing
the street mid-block at 1400 Garnet Avenue. A vehicle was traveling westbound on
Garnet Avenue and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle fled the scene continuing
eastbound on Garnet Avenue. The suspect was last seen driving north on 4500
Gresham Street.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital before succumbing to his injuries.
Suspect’s Vehicle Description:
White Mercedes SUV, possibly an GLS or GLA model, with damage to its passenger
side headlight.

ran a red traffic signal light and collided broadside with the rear of the trailer. The Honda became wedged
underneath the trailer. The driver had to be extricated by S.D.F.D. personnel. She was transported by
ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. Hospital staff determined her injuries to be life

A Central Division officer was on the 500 block of 4th Avenue when he heard the sound of a vehicle
accelerating. He observed a Kia Optima rapidly approach and veer in the direction of two female pedestrians
who were crossing the street at the intersection of 4th Ave and Island Ave.
The vehicle collided with both pedestrians. The Kia attempted to turn eastbound onto Island Ave. The
officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle yielded at 5th Ave and Island Ave. The driver identified as
Annabel Fernandez, exited the driver seat of the vehicle. She was detained and evaluated for driving under
the influence. During the investigation it was discovered that Fernandez had been involved in a physical
altercation with both pedestrians prior to the collision at 555 4th Avenue. Fernandez had exited the
location and waited in her car for them to leave before accelerating towards them as they crossed the
street. Fernandez was subsequently arrested felony DUI as well as two counts of attempted murder. The
pedestrians sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Central
Division detectives are investigating the incident.

driver saw the pedestrian in the roadway and swerved to the right, attempting to avoid a collision. The

The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
