Does anyone remember a show called DC Follies? It satirized politics; the characters were real politicians but were represented by puppets. My dad used to watch it. I liked it but of course didn't understand a lot of the jokes because I was a kid.

For sure, Oshii's version of the designs, story, characters, is probably my favorite. Although I really liked SAC too.
They're using something closer to Shirow's original designs, which I don't think has been done before.
But GitS is a rare case where, character-wise at least, I like what other people have done better than I like the original. So we'll see about that.

DC is screwing up everything lately, so I shouldn't be surprised it's not making packing for the field trip easy.
In my state, U-turns are legal. Which is fine, but sometimes I'll be waiting for my light and at least 2/3 of the people turning make U-turns. Like how do THAT many people end up going the exact opposite direction of where they need to go?

It's white, raised, around 6-7 inches long. Kind of amazing that they pulled two babies out of there, 5 years apart, and this is all that's left.
