I was just sharing my thoughts about how easily we can turn inward, even when we fundamentally agree.
Even momentum from a political win can shift into conflict instead of collective progress. I think it’s worth asking & discussing whether that pattern helps or hurts the goals we share.
2/2 Racism, misogyny, and religious bias are all too real and must be addressed broadly. But when issues that important become the primary lens for every political moment, we risk fracturing the very coalition needed to change them.
Division is how broken systems keep winning.
I keep noticing a strange and somewhat predictable pattern: a win happens, like Talarico in TX (for example), and instead of building on it, the conversation often fractures into infighting.
It makes me wonder: why are we so quick to turn momentum inward? 1/2 🧵
