Hey some progressives!!! Stop asking political candidates to give up their religion and for rich people to take a vow of poverty to meet your purity test. Some of the biggest supporters of democratic principles in the past were either rich, religious or both.

There’s more work to be done but these five things still make up a pretty good outline of how we save our democracy - not through resignation and capitulation but through determination and action.
