A seminar poster for Dr. Jeroen Claus, organized by the University of Toronto Mississauga's Biology Department. The poster includes a headshot of Dr. Claus, who has short brown hair, a beard, and is wearing a dark sweater, sitting in front of a bookshelf. The seminar title is "Accidental bioinformatics – When data vis becomes data science." Dr. Claus is the founder of Phospho Biomedical Communications and a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators, with research interests in visualizing molecular structures and protein kinase function. The event date was Friday, March 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Instructional Building (IB), Room 140. Prof. Nick Woolridge is listed as the principal investigator. The design includes a decorative blue geometric pattern along the bottom and the UTM Biology logo at the top.
It was our good fortune to have Jeroen Claus (Phospho Biomedical Animation) give a workshop in advanced science communication techniques using Houdini, and a seminar on projects where science discovery and science communication overlap.
Thank you UTM Biology for making this possible.
