I'm not speaking for all locations but even with tremendous snow totals, because of the lack of Arctic cold post blizzard, the shoveling and plowing and overall maintenance of the snow has been really efficient and not as painstaking as it could have been.

Yeah I was telling my family 10-15" somewhere in between. Perhaps complaining from the Monday morning QBing will be fairly quiet since mostly everyone is dealing with a lot of snow! Impacts all the same at this point.

I think we're getting some help from lake Michigan during tonight's northwest flow snow event.

I have family in Doylestown, PA which is central Bucks Co. I got a heads up that they're only expecting 7 inches now. I'm like, what?! Turns out they are using weather dot com app and sure enough, 5-8 inches is the forecast for DYL. Maybe it verifies but seems on the low end to me. 🤷

Philly Snow Totals: This is so unusual for a blatant discrepancy of local TV weather vs. the official forecast from the NWS. Local TV is free to forecast whatever but this is weird. 🤔 🤔

Philly local TV weather (6ABC and NBC10) showing 8-12" snow totals on their latest maps for the Delaware Valley while NWS Mount Holly is forecasting 18-24 inches. 🤔

Will be fun to watch this storm rapidly intensify. Euro goes from 999 mb to 973 mb in 12 hours... pressure drop criteria for a bomb in half the alloted time.

I should have said blizzard warnings. They don't do blizzard watches anymore. They stopped using them in....checks notes...2017! I still remember their color on the NWS alert map; lime yellow/green.

Oh you're right. I thought blizzard watches were still issued. In any case, perhaps blizzard warnings as the event approaches.

Hard to ignore the trends at this point especially for Philly & the entire Delaware Valley. I would not be surprised to see winter storm watches turn into blizzard watches for a good chunk of Jersey, Delaware, SE PA, & parts of Long Island. Yeesh. Looking like a memorable storm.

They will definitely be looking at why the back country guides trekked out in awful conditions. Seems negligent.

Not envious about putting out a forecast for 95 corridor especially Philly and the entire Delaware Valley. Model data continues to evolve. New data shows a subtle nudge to the west of low pressure positioning by the Euro ensemble AI model.
