Day 144 of going to the gym
My legs and arms really really hurt today. I went and walked on treadmill and then crawled to the sauna. The key at home is to just keep moving. I know if I sit for too long, my body will retaliate even more.

Day 143 of going to the gym
My legs hurt so bad from stupid lunges yesterday I went to just workout my upper body. After I warmed up on the elliptical, my legs felt fine so I did my upper body then got on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Now my legs want to disown me!!

Scan day! After 10 days on a cruise ship and 4 days in Sydney, my expectations were low. I did gain 3lbsβ¦of muscle!! No fat loss but that was to be expected. Day 2 of no Diet Cokeβ¦.headachy but doable.
Day 141 of going to the gym
Back home and after many days away from the gym, I went today. My arms are screaming βloserβ at me right now! More importantly today is Day 1 of no Diet Coke. Please pray for me!

I went. It was not what I wanted to do. I didnβt get the machine I wanted. But it counted. βNuff said!
Day 139 of going to the gym
I flew 15 hours to Sydney, got on a cruise ship and stayed awake until 8:30pm the crashed! All so I could avoid jet lag and workout on vacation. Walking on a treadmill on the high seas is a bit harrowing! I had to hold on! But Iβm staying the course!
Day 138 of going to the gym
I worked out my lower body today despite the fact Iβm leaving for a 2 week vacation. Iβm about to embark on a terribly long flight, so I needed to move this morning. Let the trip begin!! #fitover50

Still plagued by headaches today. Could be carb intake, weather, or just plain stress. I worked my upper body and maybe pushed a bit. My neck is a little sore and Iβm leaving for vacay tomorrow. A 14 hour flight probs wonβt help but π€·ββοΈ. NZ here I come!!

Day 136 of going to the gym
Woke up with a bad headache this morning and had a dentist visit. Ugh! What I now know, my body needed carbs. My body was under fueled. Iβm figuring it out. Went to the gym a little later but I was ready, willing and able when I got there. Listen to your body!

Worked my upper body today and Iβm stinging a bit now. My legs are still sore from yesterday so now my upper and lower body match! Tomorrow? Probs just some treadmill!
Day 134 of going to the gym
Trainer day and it got moved to 1pm so no overcrowding like 4pm tends to be. We worked legs today and a young guy was on the leg curl machine before me. Trainer and I walk up after him and she says βthatβs way too light for you.β Canβt lie, that felt great!
Day 133 of going to the gym
I took 3 days off from the gym this weekend. Not on purpose, just by circumstance. Got there today at 4pm. Wow! Itβs really busy at 4pm! I did some cardio and was on my way. I have trainer tomorrow at 4pm. Teenagers will be there mocking me. I know it. Just kidding!

This is one of those days where the airport will be my exercise. I hate these days! And no, RFK, Jr. is an idiot because I probs wouldnβt use a gym in an airport. Who needs people MORE sweaty closer to you in an anxiety inducing small space? π€¦ββοΈ

Today was scan day and I usually dread those. Today, I knew it would be good! Down almost 10lbs of fat and maintained muscle. Trainer made me do some circuit training to bring me back into reality. Squats, lunges, medicine ball and battle ropes remind my heart Iβm not fit

Skipped the treadmill today and headed straight for the mat. Iβve been working on my lower back so I can stand for longer intervals. Protesting takes place on the feet after all!! I worked on arms after. Have to be able to carry signs! #rls #fitnessafter50

Didnβt want to go. I procrastinated and sat around and got there about 1-1/2hours after I had planned. But letβs emphasize I GOT THERE!! I just did my incline intervals on the treadmill. My HR for the 1st time ever, stayed in the low range. Iβm winning!
Day 129 of going to the gym
Hey peeps! Whatβs the deal with the mats all being swiped for a class?! I had to lay down on the floor! Itβs fine, Iβm fine! Lower body workout today and a little recovery on the vibration plate. Off to the shower I go!!!

Treadmill speed workout today. I use the term speed very loosely here. Speed for me isnβt like running or even a fast walk. Itβs what pushes my HR to work harder and harder. Still havenβt needed CPR so Iβm doing great!!

Had a session with the trainer today for the first time in weeks because, life. Good news, still getting stronger. My HR didnβt even rebel today. Itβs the little things that make me happy. #fitnessover50 #fitafter55

Did a very methodical workout that included incline work on the treadmill, lifting, lower back. It was a lot! I had an assisted stretch scheduled so had to be there anyway. 3 hours at the gym was never on my bingo card before.
Day 124 of going to the gym
Sleep score of 98 and I feel it!! Worked my lower back and did treadmill today. I feel great! Not sure how when yesterday I truly started the day in a funk. One small note: my husband is ill and slept in the spare bedroom last night. Could that be it?π€

I felt terrible this morning. Depressed maybe? Looking at old pics yesterday of my daughter that passed 6 years ago. Lost my BFF of 45 years last week. Decided to stay the course and go to the gym. I worked my legs nice and hard. I do feel a bit better!

Started on the road of being able to do the 12/3/30 thing on the treadmill. It may take sometime to get my HR to agree, but at least my legs werenβt twitchy today! Itβs about building and Iβm taking my time. #fitover50
