Got home from Banff yesterday and received in the mail the new addition to The Scottish Birds book from @scottishbirding.bsky.social which features their 90th anniversary logo. They celebrate their anniversary this month.
When I’m away I like to pick up leaflets of flyers of attractions I’ve been for resources. In this case picked up a leaflet at The Dolphin Centre @whalesorg.bsky.social

Enjoyed my walk around the Duff House estate lots of woodland birds around mainly Blue & Great Tit. Did hear a Great Spotted Woodpecker. Was great to hear The Chiffchaff.

Arrived on Banff and I think I’ll do just fine here already out the window can see Gulls & Turnstones.

Think they are my fav out of the Pigeon & Dove world. Had a bunch of friends (Feral Pigeons) around me at Holyrood while I was having a snack they didn’t have any

Woodpigeons & Magpies at Calton Hill.
Only here because I got a email enquiry from the Calton Hill folks asking if I’d be interested in leading a Birding Tour around Calton Hill in the future. I told them I have never been and don’t know the area at all but said I’d go and have a look and see if it’s suitable or not.
Never been up Calton Hill before so thought I’d look around and see if there’s birds around.
