Jesus, that’s grim. Those poor people.

This is seriously making me cry. All those frames of people’s hard work, used to create this montage of pure evil. I don’t know how the USA comes back from this or even how mainstream cinema does. All I know is things need to be very different.

I know Hollywood has long been complicit in the myth-making of empire but this is truly horrifying. Filmmakers have fought and critiqued this vision for the USA, even from within the system, sometimes at great cost. We can never accept the idea this what art is or how it should be used. #filmsky

Yep. The US would throw us in front of them to make sure we get hit first. And isn't that what the UK did historically?

Actually, who am I kidding, the US would probably just attack us themselves. They don't even need a reason. Trump might not like one of our TV shows or something.

It really is. I mean, if even a sitting Republican understands that has an obligation to criticise this action how the hell does our whole government not get it? It's just crazy making.

06.03.2026 11:03 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Yeah, not saying that is a good statement... but it is telling Trump that he has done the wrong thing in no uncertain terms and that is what our Government should be doing, instead of bullshitting left and right.

If a Republican can say this, the Australian Government should be able to be more truthful about what is going on. Maybe just admit you screwed up and tell us how you are going to get out of it. Or admit you screwed up and say you don't know how to get out of it. But stop the gaslighting. #auspol

Ummmm. Okay, the fact that she's having a big resurgence now is certainly interesting. But the 'major question' on my mind is not how much she will spend but is it still all coming from her father? Becuse, if so...she is not the 'good one.'

Yeah, nice try pretending the workers don’t want to participate in the work bans. Exactly how would that work?

This creep. He needs to be in jail or far away from cameras so we don’t have to hear from him or see his smarmy face any more. He is not decent or competent enough to run a lemonade stand let alone be in charge of the US military. #EndAUKUS.

As a middle power, Australia should be careful what it wishes for when it comes to an illegal war with Iran | Andrew Wilkie I resigned from the intelligence services over the fraudulent case for the invasion of Iraq in 2003. And I see some alarming parallels with this case

Do we really want a world where the strong can do as they please and the weak suffer as they must? I wrote for The Guardian today about why Australia shouldn’t stand for this, and why international law matters for a middle power like Australia #auspol #politas

Wow. Surely someone being resident means they contribute because they benefit from services. No matter *why* they are resident. I mean, that’s sort of the whole point!

Arrogance. They think they can smooth over or get out of anything if they pay.

I can see how those who have children in Dubai might need to get back there urgently. But the rest could consider paying some tax for once in their miserable greedy lives and shutting the eff up.

Ha. I’m okay with the feet but the ball gown next to the pool and squinting down at the viewer like that are unfortunate choices. For a publicist she doesn’t seem particularly savvy about how images convey meaning.

Glad to see Haddad was strong in rebutting that. Exactly what needs to be said when that accusation is used inappropriately.

Yep. If you can’t get an appointment and/or can’t afford an appointment then the only option left is the urgent care clinic, which is not really the idea of them, surely. Seems like they’re just shifting the problem around.

Yes. That is so obviously true that I can only conclude that they don’t care about antisemitism at all. Only about political strategy.

Imagine the phrases Kelly Wilkinson heard in her last months. Women around the country hear hate speech directed against them every day, in words that sound nothing like “From the river to the sea”! They don’t want words banned though. They would just like the police to stop letting them be killed.

Police Minister Dan Purdie told parliament on Thursday the laws were necessary and powerful.

"Jewish Queenslanders simply don't feel safe. They don't feel protected," he said.

"This government is committed to ensuring all Queenslanders can live free from hate and violence."

Mr Purdie said the government was taking "decisive action" by enshrining the phrases into legislation.

This quote from the Police Minister: “This government is committed to ensuring all Queenslanders can live free from hate and violence." So you banned some words!

When Kelly Wilkinson came to your officers days before her murder they told her to “cool off” and thought she was “cop shopping.” #auspol

This is embarrassing and disgraceful. And for Labor to claim the moral high ground is rich given federal Labor’s role in creating the atmosphere that’s led to this. How does this in any way stop antisemitism?! It just gives the Israel lobby another opportunity to bully its critics. #auspol
