According to a neighbor the local PD wasn’t informed of either the alleged escaped criminal or the fed activity. They circled the neighborhood for maybe 30-45 minutes, helicopter above for a bit longer. I only saw one guy not in a car, so it must’ve been a real serious search. 2/

Feds on my block this afternoon, in suburban Chicago. 4-5 SUVs, helicopter overhead. They had CBP markings on their vests and claimed to be looking for an escaped “cartel member” but had time to stop and tell me I was supporting criminals by telling them to go fuck off. 1/

In the moment I didn’t notice front seat dude’s not very opaque face cover but yeah. All the plates on their vehicles I took pics of were out of state - Florida, Maryland, Minnesota.
