Iβm not lecturing.. We have so many similar issues in the UK funded by the same dark money. Itβs clear it is not possible to have a chat about this stuff without people being oppositional or personal unfortunately. Best of luck people!
I didnβt say she didnβt have plans - I am talking about how working people FEEL at this point and we have the same issues in the UK where centrists are also struggling for traction.
I think itβs a bit sad if a person canβt share an opinion without being accused of voter suppression.
Ok thatβs fine. We donβt know each other so you are free to make any assumptions about me that you wish, but I do wish you well and I sincerely hope that things get better because we are all in a dire place at the moment
Prices are jumping all over Gaza because of the war and fears about what that means for the border- if you can help someone there please do β€οΈ
Honestly I have no issue with you. I really do care about politics in your country because it affects all countries. There is no hostility from my side, what is happening in the US is fucking awful and I am so sorry youβre going through it
Ok thanks.
No one gives a shit about what one βlimeyβ has to say about anything. I just donβt think itβs healthy to think any campaign or political figure is beyond criticism. I have not even provided any info that can be classed as incorrect. I do not get this. MAGA on this platform get better treatment.
Ok sure, you too!
We can all always continue to learn. I am not sure what I have said that essentially means you think I have no right to speak.
If you think what has been perpetrated is fine then I donβt really know what to say.
How is saying I would vote for Harris any day against fascism suppressing votes? I donβt get it, honestly please help me understand
The UK is essentially a vassal state of the US so Iβm afraid your politics matters to us more than I wish it did.
Yes - fascism vs more of the same. Of course more of the same is better. However I understand that a lot of people are still struggling.
I donβt think thatβs particularly controversial
She didnβt have a chance with such a short amount of time to campaign, it was really difficult for her to make the case. I am just a person trying to talk about stuff, Iβm not being combative but I donβt think itβs healthy for any discussion to be shut down when being civil,
I wish you all the best
I would have voted for her in a heartbeat over Trump, but I am a socialist so the politics of the dems doesnβt do it for me. In a contest between fascism and more of the same however, there is no contest. But I would say that itβs understandable that some people felt really disillusioned
Biden did some really great stuff. Did people feel that their lives became materially better? I am not so sure. Inequality is increasing exponentially in the west and people feel and resent it. The underlying economic system is broken. Itβs hard for a centrist to win support in this climate.
Please explain what you mean and I will do better.
The problem is that it depends how voters feel, not necessarily what the policy platform actually is, so messaging is key. People felt poorer so they went with the liar who said he would fix it. The same will happen with Reform in the Uk if we are not careful.
Supporting genocide is inexcusable.
No I donβt . This is an international platform, tho
I had a genuine question as someone outside the US but yeah itβs because I had a crush.
Iβm not shitting on them! Wow. Clearly their campaign was flawless.
Well within that context then yeah - I would just define it differently as white privilege. I agree that my countryβs history of colonialism is deeply, deeply shameful.
I wish we formed coalitions! We have first past the post here (which I am sure youβre familiar with) which means total executive power to the winner. Itβs awful,
Was Harris not on the record as saying she would stick with Bidenβs program? That is what I mean by status quo. Policy not identity. And again - as I have said many times - I would have voted for her over Trump any day. She is a decent human being.
Status quo means more of the same - people cannot deal with it any more. Itβs the inevitable consequence of neo liberal economics. Believe me I campaign in the UK as well.
Tell me how Iβm a racist enabler. Honestly I am interested what exactly I said gives you that impression.
What did I lie about? So baffled about this pile on. Obviously everyone here thinks that the Harris campaign is not even worth reflecting on. I wish you guys had won. Obviously itβs the voters fault .
Bluesky is an international platform and I care about what is going on in the US deeply. Also involved in local politics!
