Urgent: Time is running out to advance smarter transportation planning in Washington. Contact your representatives TODAY and ask them to pass House Bill 2134, which would require Regional Transportation Planning Organizations to account for GHG emissions and Vehicle Miles Traveled. bit.ly/40dqzWZ
No matter how you got to the @seahawksofficial.com parade, we are all 12s.
💙💚🚌🚆🚶🏻♀️🚲💚💙
Every 6 minutes came a crushload @sound-transit.bsky.social train full of Seahawks fans for the parade.
Starting Saturday, trains this often this won’t just be for special events, but will just be the everyday commute.
Transit for the win! Thank you to our transit agencies for getting hundreds of thousands of people safely to and from the parade today. It was a joyful scene on trains and buses across the region as people made their way downtown to celebrate our Super Bowl LX champions, the @seahawksofficial.com
We need your help to ensure Sound Transit can keep building light rail across the Puget Sound Region as quickly as possible. Senate Bill 6148 would give Sound Transit the financial flexibility it needs by allowing it to issue 75-year bonds. Contact your senator to ask them to support this bill.
Lots to love this Saturday 🚆
Link is leveling up: twice the frequency and two lines running between Lynnwood and Chinatown–International District. That means trains every ~4 minutes through the core.

Focusing on corridors such as Rainier Ave. S in Seattle and Division St. in Spokane, their analysis illustrates how TOD, when intentionally paired with Complete Streets, traffic safety, and equity-focused tools, has the potential to reduce preventable injuries and improve environmental conditions.
Their report highlights a critical gap: current transit-oriented development (TOD) policies largely emphasize housing production, while public health and traffic safety outcomes are not consistently or explicitly integrated.
TCC's Policy Analyst Nivya Murthi worked with students from the University of Washington's Master of Public Health program to explore how public health intersects with transit-oriented development.
There's still time to provide public comment on @psrc.bsky.social's draft Regional Transportation Plan. Help ensure that transportation investments will support the Puget Sound region's health, safety, mobility, and climate goals. Weigh in by MONDAY, February 2nd.
