The fact that more people aren't just telling men to GET FRIENDS is wild to me. Tech billionaires want to sell you an AI friend and it's appealing bc AI will fake the transactional surface level things with none of the labor it takes to connect with a real human. You still don't have a real friend!!
"Getting no b--ches" is not a social contagion. Men caught up in this are just not doing the work it takes to not be lonely. They're looking for meaningful, emotionally intimate, supportive, steady relationships and it actually needs to start with having platonic friendships with each other.
But friendship skills are possible to learn and pick up. It's just harder and more uncomfortable to do that work than to outsource it to women and blame them if they'd rather not be subjected to that work and all the other effects of being around someone without any of those skills.
Admittedly culturally, we pretty much do not teach boys how to have emotionally intimate friendships and we normalize them not knowing anything about the guys they hang out with. We don't offer many models for emotionally deep friendships outside stories of war and sometimes team sports.
A gf is not supposed to manage all your emotional & social needs. If y'all knew how to have and manage your own emotionally intimate friendships, not only would YOU have that human need met without a gf, but you become way more datable than the men who want an unpaid social secretary / therapist.
"Male loneliness epidemic" keeps being framed around them being single, and I think the actual solution is to start framing it around them not having emotionally intimate friendships.

I didn't get the job but i have booked some meetings and received lots of support. 20k impressions in 24 hours. I've got to believe that the things that make me hard to quantify into a simple story is exactly what someone will eventually hire me for. I think i have to be myself outloud.
Sometimes you decide to make a pop-up book for the first time because you want a job at a tech company in marketing. Did they ask for it? No. But you are committed to the idea of getting hired for exactly who you are: a creative strategist who knows how to connect with humans and fight for a vision.
Some people want the tech because they want the ultimate yes man to validate them at all times. And some people want it because they want someone who can never tell them "no." Both are incredibly messed up but don't mistake all enthusiasts for the former. Many more than you'd hope are the latter.

I have been in so many rooms with so many disastrous ideas. Ideas that could mean hundreds of thousands of dollars from a client and month to keep a creator and their team going for months. And when there aren't people like me in the room to divert to better ideas, it is a nightmare.
It also required so much oversight and a crunched timeline for something of that nature and it was like, you are asking for a short film and the kind of creative writing that takes months alone. It's hard to even pull of a prank video in 360 because you can't dictate pacing or sequencing of info.
