βDo not engage in a winter campaign in bitterly cold areas. You will lose not just your army, but most likely your throne.β - literally every military historian ever
βGET IN THE CAR, LOSERS, WEβRE GONNA INVADE MINNESOTA IN LATE JANUARYβ - the Trump administration
Resonates w/ Machiavelli who (thinking of early Rome & Milanβs short-lived Ambrosian republic) reminds us that removing the tyrant usually leads to bloodshed & a string of new tyrants, unless enormous groundwork happens to change institutions & mobilize all social levels to implement & defend them.
better way to think of this is β20,000 of the dumbest, most violent people in the country currently receive government subsidies for their stupidity and violence. should we continue doing that?β
Preschool diploma revoked.
repost this if anti-trans people are not welcome and unsafe with you
if you are the public defense investigator who just subpoenaed Sam Altman on stage know that i love you and think you are a wonder upon this earth.
But also maybe a paralegal too tbh.
Or would that make the game show too unfair for the other three?

The alarms should be ringing not just from the creation of this database, but also from the inevitable mistakes within it and secondary uses of it
Plus, when kids struggle or make mistakes, they're often treated like it must be due to something on their end or within their control (and attempts at explanation are summarily declared "excuses") when reality isn't always so simple.
Who is "prove me wrong[,]" and in what way did Truth hurt them?
Congrats!
Curious to get your thoughts on 1000xResist! Been watching a friend's playthrough and it's been a trip lmao
One of the reasons I think βdefund the policeβ is a great slogan is that you get to repeatedly tell people that studies show that police donβt actually solve murders, and in fact one-third of stranger-murders are committed by police.
"If you got arrested then you weren't protesting peacefully" is a lie. Stop spreading it.
People are getting shot in the head with βless lethalβ munitions. Press.
You think βchurch clothesβ are going to save people?! They need HELMETS.
Also, the respectability bullshit can stop any time now. It doesnβt matter what any of these people are wearing, doing, saying- they are RIGHT.
Every person with a spectrum disorder has a more valuable life than RFK Jr, and every trans/nb person has a more valuable life than JK Rowling. You are a human with dignity and they are sunken demons
Wonderful names. Leeroy Jenkins gets me every time even after all these years lmao
I was having a shitty day, but this made me laugh and smile
Same.
Back in 2018, MAGA street fighters in Portland started showing up at events wearing βPinochet did nothing wrongβ t-shirts with positive references to helicopter rides and I thought βwow, theyβre really out there.β Now sitting members of Congress are going there.
Some students went to the Indiana statehouse to discuss school shootings. A GOP state rep flashed his gun at them. Same rep has quoted Goebbels, posted racist stuff to social media, and said Uvalde was a hoax.
Oh, and heβs currently on probation for a DWI.

Trans people's medical care has suffered three deaths: To Nazism and eugenics in the 1930s, to homophobia and misogyny in the 1970s, and the one it's suffering right now under white Christian nationalism in the 2020s.
SAME! I made it through the initial questions.
But when the topic of the charges at issue came up, the prosecutor really didn't like my answer to one of the questions about charges for lying to cops about a name.
And that was during my gap year between undergrad and law school.
Had a similar experience late last year. My then-gf got called for jury duty and made it onto the jury.
My curiosity about the trial drove me nuts.
Given political developments over there since then, it has unfortunately aged a bit too well IMO.
Yeah, dude was unhinged. And not in the good way!
Glad I'm not at that firm anymore. But looking for my next job suuuuuuucks.
