Not quite, v014 is still coming along :) Softbody deformation has been a dreamwish since 10 years, so if all goes well, it will be implemented later on. Possibly v015

Sure thing, it's fairly simple: 2 images are rendered from the enemy's line of sight. 1 with and 1 without the car. Then the brightness of all pixels between the 2 images is compared and if > x then the car is visible.
Proper computer vision could be quite an evolution, just not sure about CPU cost

S2 download is at 82%, so looking forward to be soaking in the atmosphere and doing some virtual hiking, and checking out the foliage in-game (before getting killed :D )
From videos, it looks like the vegetation shader's alpha cutoff is wrong, making the stems and leaves appear thicker and even more so as the distance increases, completely obscuring everything behind. Easy fix imo.
