no, I don't see how anyone can be mad at someone else's opinions.

I seem to have a problem with buying new cars all the time.
This one can't even be driven on the road ๐คฃ
Nice bit of obscure racing history though.
I saw this reported a short while ago too, very sad news. He's only just announced a new red dwarf book too.
the music from this game is forever burnt into my mind
Collapsed one is the upside down one.
Awesome, the cold start misfire on the Corrado is fixed! Culprit was a collapsed tappet. No real way I could work out to test my theory other than just replacing the tappets but it's worked. Very happy that I don't have to wait ten minutes for it to warm up before I can drive it anymore.
Re-discovering a 90s classic, Dungeon Keeper. Hugely addictive and with a dark sense of humour you just don't get in games any more.

my engineering tipp-ex coming in handy again
Spent a lot of time playing batman on the spectrum back in the day, it was one of my favourite games on the spectrum.
doing some bits on my Corrado VR6 engine while it's off the road for winter. Replacing noisy tappets (suspect non-genuine ones when the engine was rebuilt before my ownership), leaky cam cover gasket and might as well get the injectors cleaned & tested while the inlet is off.
Thanks! These are always fun to read through even though my understanding of assembly is minimal. Looking forward to your documentation on how you do these things.
This year's Christmas Lego set. Built it quite quickly as my six year old son kept wanting me to do it while he was doing his own Lego sets. Very impressed with the detail on this but I wish it was silver like an actual delorean rather than mostly grey.
That Philips cellnet phone was my first mobile phone, got it just before going to uni. I had a Motorola pager before it, probably the same one shown too.
Polo G40 restoration now has it's body panels back on!
Urgh, only ready salted crisps left in the house. Does anyone actually like ready salted to the point they'd choose them over actual flavours? It's like crisps Maud Flanders would choose
It's got my vote!
I've never been any good at making music but I have messed about with a bass guitar on and off for quite a few years and mani's bass lines were some of the ones I'd most often try to play.
RIP Mani, thanks for the music, it continues to mean a lot.
I saw a rumour earlier on that the great Gary 'mani' Mounfield had passed away.
Sadly it has turned out to be true.
For me, the best bass player with some of the best bands ever most notably the Stone Roses.

There's no AI nonsense being foisted on me, everything still works and basically looks the same, everything is just updated. Took 30 minutes and I'm back just getting stuff done, this is how it should be Microsoft.
Debian trixie is at it's .2 release now so thought it was time to upgrade my desktop computers at home and at work. All good apart from the usual NIS & NFS throwing a hissy fit on my work computer which happens every time, it sorted itself out after just waiting a while for the initial reboot.
There's people who say anything other than "snezz"? Being from Oldham I even pronounce bus as "buzz".
I've been replaying Command&Conquer: Tiberian Sun for the first time since the early 2000s after I found out I can run it on my Macbook using WINE. Love those bomber helicopters.
Do you mean go IPv6 only? Probably not possible although twitter was one of the big platforms that was V4 only and I don't use that anymore so perhaps I can. I could easily just put a public V4 address on my computer and not need NAT but I'm not sure what the point would be.
I cleaned my keyboard keys in my ultrasonic cleaner and put them on a car drying towel. It looks like someone has ran over Wordy from Look&Read
I would highly recommend going if you are in the Lakes while this is on. They don't seem to have a presence on Bluesky but I put their website in the first post.
Weekend in the Lake District. Visited the Retro-Zone Museum in Keswick. Lots of toys & computers from the 80s. Lot of stuff that me & my sister had as kids. Great to look around and chat with the staff and other people in there about Sinclair computers, the best Amiga games.
