And to be blunt - if a Nazi wants to step into the line of fire for the Trans community and point the hatred elsewhere - that's perfect. That pulls EVERY justification for their hatred away from them. I'll take defense from anyone - especially when they help take down billionaires.
It's far easier to make a case for "Trans people need to be allowed to live their lives" if they aren't the focus of everyone's hatred. I could care less if Platner makes that case. I do care that he's shifting people's hatred off of an already embattled community.
Ignore for a min that it's Platner making the case. What he actually did was remove those "pawns" from the line of fire. That IS protection and support. I mean seriously, do you want bigots focusing on the Trans community? Or would you rather they focus their hatred on billionaires?
And it allows people who wouldn't normally care about the issue to refocus on the actual villains. It's actually a very effective form of push back. He's taking the debate away from why trans is "bad".
"This is a distraction from taxes" IS a form of saying "No". It points out to people who are only marginally aware of the issue WHY it's suddenly being pushed in front of them. When you tell the average cis person that it takes all the "moral justification" out of the anti-trans arguments.
No...this is part of the plan. Remember they don't care about Americans. He's been purposely pushing the cost of goods up - it allows his billionaire buddies to sneak in inflationary increases to increase profits. It also allows him to ease restrictions on Russian oil. Now we can fund Russia's war.
