No evidence ADHD is being over-diagnosed, say experts Experts are warning that far from being over-diagnosed, people with ADHD are waiting too long for assessment, support and treatment.

‘Experts are warning that far from being over-diagnosed, people with ADHD are waiting too long for assessment, support and treatment.’

Don’t let Wes Streeting tell you otherwise.

War is the worst of human endeavors, but the reason militaries do not fight by pure thuggery, as the United States now does, is that it ultimately puts us more at risk and defiles us as a country. What are we even fighting for if we are nothing but the biggest bully on the block?

The Most Chilling Detail in the U.S. Attack on an Iranian Naval Ship The Iranian warship was taking part in an international exercise with many other countries—including the United States.

This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

There will be Starmer supporters screaming "but Rwanda policy"* until the heat death of universe as they attempt to defend/deflect how on every practical measure Labour has just announced anti-asylum policies which go further than the previous government.

*Not to diminish cruelty of that policy

Government’s ‘generational’ SEND reforms will leave more children in segregated settings The government’s “generational” reforms to the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system will increase the proportion of children in “specialist” placements over the next nine years,…

ALLFIE said the government’s plans would continue to “reinforce segregation” of disabled children and young people by rebranding SEN units in mainstream schools as “inclusion bases” and describing this as “progress”

"You recognise.. if a school was targeted that would constitute a breach of intl law?"

David Lammy: "This is a febrile war zone"

"That doesn't excuse hitting schools.."

"... its for the Americans to comment on what's happened there"

So you've never commented on Russian war crimes, right?

Zack’s response to Shabana Mahmood.
My friend sent this to me an hour ago. She said
“This is why I will vote for the Greens. They have a moral compass of hope.”

I wholeheartedly agree.
Life’s difficult enough without a politician in the government advocating cruelty and marginalisation

This is a life and death story for the UK – so why is it being brushed under the carpet? The news that healthy life expectancy is in decline in Britain exposes a serious truth about the state we’re in, says Guardian columnist Aditya Chakrabortty

'While our healthy life expectancy has been dropping, in Sweden it has been rising.'

'...austerity politics continues to blight this country, with so many of [the Coalition's] welfare cuts still in place and swathes of our public services close to falling over'

MPs warn “unsustainable” SEND transport system fails families with disabled young people - Special Needs Jungle MPs blast the DfE over a lack of plans for fixing “unsustainable” SEND transport costs that fail families with disabled young people

This post from @catrionamoore.bsky.social feels personal for me as I’m one of the many families who have had home to school transport removed from their disabled children, simply because they turned 16.

What we see here is Donald Trump, acting as he always does, as a global chaos generator.

The further we stand away from that, the better off we will be.

Well said @georgemonbiot.bsky.social 👏

NHS official pushed to add patient data to Palantir platform whilst also advising company

A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.

Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.

This absolutely stinks. Get Palantir out of the NHS. Sign my petition:

Dr @binitakane.bsky.social explains how a theory that #MECFS is caused by deconditioning and a fear of exercise permeated medicine and framed the illness as psychological. This led to the patients being neglected, gaslit, and some would say abused. Causing huge trauma for the community.
