Cardinal Pens sells sacs and replacement j-bars and pressure bars. I've purchased repair supplies from them and been very happy! They also do repairs, I believe, if you want to hand the project over to someone else.
If you listen to The Garden too carelessly, it becomes a loop from which you cannot escape.
Whoa, it's been 5 years since When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain came out on audio!
Check it out for 70% off at the link!
It's sapphic tigers, imperial exams, and telling stories to save your life, all narrated by the incredible @cindykay.bsky.social !

There's probably something in there that could become something (no bets on what it might look like after I'm forced to write it down or after I've had breakfast) but there it is!
This happens to me a couple times a day nearly every day, so y'know, here we are.
6. Billie Burke acquires new fame as an object of curiosity among Martians.
7. Resurrection among the stars, a star returned to earth, changed, uncanny and still speaking with the cadences of the famous trained Transatlantic accent of early Hollywood.
5. You know, if there were people living on Mars, this would be a hell of a thing to explain to them.
"Hey, we showed up, walked all over your backyard, and named that one very ancient feature that's been a part of your lives and culture after a 1930s actress."
2. Oh there's a signature underneath, it's a celebrity endorsement, I wonder who that is... It's Billie Burke, who's that?
3. Oh hey, she played Glinda the Good Witch among a lot of other roles on Broadway, radio, silent movies and talkies.
4. They named a crater on Mars after her.
Once in a while, I get asked "where do your ideas come from?" and this morning I got a mini-version of the process to share.
1. See an ad from 1925 for Tuxedo Tobacco which features a white woman in profile stating "I love to see a man smoke a pipe."

Chih, with the force of an enormous and long-standing archive behind them, believes that people are always people, that everybody deserves to be fed, kindness is never wasted, and we must always do what we can.
I realized a while ago that I love Chih very much.
Hope you do too!
Cleric Chih is too curious, determined to get something like the truth, and trying hard every day.
I'm on tour to promote this one, and as I talk with people about Chih and Singing Hills, I find this curious urge to live up to Chih and what they believe about the world and their purpose.
This one has stories about hunger, the things we do when we're hungry, the things we'll do to never be hungry again, the struggle to survive and the struggle to survive that survival.
It's not a happy story, but I think I played fair, and as always, Chih is still Chih.
Happy book birthday to A Mouthful of Dust, standalone novella in the Singing Hlls Cycle, out today!
This time, Cleric Chih and Almost Brilliant the hoopoe memory spirit are investigating the town of Baolin, famous for its pork recipe and its famine.

Baolin pork comes a few things, but mostly from a version of this recipe, one I grew up with:
wanderingchopsticks.blogspot.com/2007/01/thit...
This one's about being hungry, things you do when you're hungry and the things you'll do to never be hungry again.
It's also about good recipes, sharing food, things that survive great hunger, and as always, what happens next and the stories we tell about it.
There's a li'l white kitten, too.
Hey. Hey.
