Not every game should be a 'forever' game.
Sometimes a complete package with a defined beginning, middle, and end is the better outcome

Yepp making shorter experience with no pay so far (I'm losing money help) and last time I checked I have no turned into a chimera yet.
Chernobyl's usage of simply letting the scene and the pauses talk did wonder for the execution of the tone. TLOU as the game also let that be the case with player-driven pauses.
As far as I have seen with The TL series...yeah it falters.
She'll probably be impressed that you are invested in the future of babies
