Oh dear …
I am really surprised at the reception "Weapons" is receiving. If you just think about the plot for one second, it all falls apart. It makes zero sense.
Whenever people find out I’m a “music guy”
These NBA playoffs have been great, but the cynic in me says they further illustrate how meaningless and inconsequential the overly long and arduous regular season really is. Unless injuries are the goal.
It’s why I refused to blame any one player for this. Winning only masks the incompetence. Now we’re faced with reality that Gayle Benson, Dennis Lauscha and Mickey Loomis only view this as an avenue to make money while stating they’re “saving basketball for the city of New Orleans.”
Kobe: "I wish we knew ..."
It's obvious the Saints and Pels are incredibly incompetent organizations. There is no future.
Is it a cult? Maybe!
I'm not gonna score a TD today to honor Julio Jones.
New Orleans remains completely out of pocket
One of the biggest changes in my neighborhood post-pandemic has been the explosion of canine residents. Cool! Unfortunately, this also means the number of insanely reactive doggos left unattended in front yards is also now huge. Not so cool!
OMG!!!
Selling America to the guy who can’t competently run a social media site is wild shit
The jerk in me says: Is it a rebuild when you never built anything?
We are two sides of the same coin.
Anyway, thank you everyone for indulging me. I truly enjoy the pushback and the chance to understand a different -- and very likely -- correct perspective. (Sunken cost fallacy be damned 😜)
This is completely logical, but I'm not so sure. The same promise that keeps the Pels mesmerized could blind another team.
But they are. Cutting him isn't an option. I mean, they have been trapped for six years and counting.
But Z is a dead contract, right?
Our pal Mort says the Zion and Wemby pairing is ideal.
That's insane. Get anything you can and get out from under him.
The reality is you are smarter than most professional GMs.
No idea, but we just saw a trade deadline that saw Luka, AD, LaVine, Butler, BI and Fox move. So let's not act like everyone is a brilliant strategist.
I don't want 5 firsts. I just want to see what the market bears. It's a league where injury-prone 34-year-old free agents get $212M max deals.
Exactly. Sell a year or two early before you are completely DOA.
Teams are dumb. You can move him. And how do you lose a trade when the alternative is to go nowhere every season?
I'm sure the seven-year injury sample size (counting his one season at Duke) is purely coincidental. Surely it's not indicative of anything.
Your reminder that next year will be Year 7 for Z, he has never played in the postseason, averages 36 games a season and really hasn't accomplished anything in his career. The Pels waiting for that mythical leap is why they have gone nowhere. He isn't that guy.
