Watching Indecision 2008 election night coverage on Comedy Central, hearing Jon Stewart say CNN was calling the election for Barack Obama, and seeing Stephen Colbert break character for a second to wipe his eyes is a core a memory for me. That told me all I ever need to know about who he is.

I’m sorry - stay open to a change of heart. My old school conservative dad started to break with the GOP over the invasion of Iraq and then he literally fell in love with Michelle Obama. When he told me he thought Jane Fonda was manipulated and deserved forgiveness, I thought I was hallucinating.
