Always take the over on the anthem … but that might actually have been a push. Started slow but I think he hit the window, at least from what I’m seeing.

We went out at 5:30 up the hill in Cane Ridge. Power came back at 6:30. Got our fireplace lit and coffee made. Now we’re in wait and see mode. Hang in there!

It’s one of the best descants ever written. We do it every year for our lessons and carols service. (But nothing tops the Willcocks descant. I get to do it tonight. Best sing of the entire year!)

Now that my daughter is a chorister herself, I talked her into listening to King’s College live this morning on BBC Radio 4 … and she loves it. My Christmas Eve of coffee and carols is back! Merry Christmas to me!
