i wonder why long-abandoned empty lots with signs still attached are so common. like are there weird regulations that make it more difficult to legally tear down a sign than an entire building?

soooooo hey ha ha it turns out the last OSH stream wasn't actually the finale... we still have a handful of die to roll, and the traditional playthrough of Gunstar Heroes to do! so we're gonna do that today.

Things being designed intentionally to work within the limitations of technology from that era are not deficiencies we're meant to correct with our Modern Hardware, they're beautiful things that we destroy the same way we reel a blobfish up from the depths of the sea. "More" is not an improvement.

"More is Better" is an idea that should never touch games from the CRT era. Higher polycount, bigger textures, maximum framerate. You need to know one thing & it's how the human brain fills in gaps naturally; things from that era were designed to do that in beautiful ways. Upscales look like shit.
