When I was a hospice chaplain, I sometimes had ordinands on placement with me. Vanstone’s ‘The Stature of Waiting’ was always top of the reading list I suggested to them.

That’s a shame - would have been a great birthday present for Frank! Glad it was good, though 😊
Is this EWRAle for sale anywhere or was it a one off?
Boo times two then!

Happy International Nurses Day!
Grateful thanks to nurses everywhere for their skill, dedication and care.

Wonderful time at #Oxford Playhouse experiencing ‘A Man For All Seasons’ with Martin Shaw & Gary Wilmot. The acting & Robert Bolt’s writing brilliantly portrayed the story; history, yet a timeless story of integrity in the face of others’ self interest.
Thank you for your primrose thread. My father was a botanist. Some years ago, when his health was failing, I planted up a bowl of primroses for him for his birthday. He looked and said, ‘Some are pin eyed & some are thrum eyed’. Special moment. He died a week later. Thanks for triggering my memory.
Thank you so much for posting this. Incredibly helpful.
We always used to return bottles. Definitely one to restart.

I’m remembering that 26 years ago this was the morning after my father had died. I woke early. I heard the first bird sing, then another, till a glorious chorus resounding with hope.
This morning I woke early, I listened - nothing. So sad.
Wonderful performance of ‘The Armed Man’ in Milton Keynes last night.
