My 200$ Government of Ontario bribery cheque arrived, and I had a great conversion with the teller about how we both wished the government had spent the 3B$ on stuff we liked. Like education and healthcare
I understand; great system for one person.
If you can't buy a physical day pass on the bus, can one card pay for multiple people? Either you'd hit the day cap instantly paying for your kids or it wouldn't let you tap twice because you've just paid. Or some third thing?
@glengower.bsky.social
Do you know if you can buy an OC transpo daypass with a credit card when you get on the bus?

The willingness to quash enshrined charter rights so nilly-willy should be troubling to everyone.

Given the increased volatility of the US as a major trading partner and the need to diversify, what do people think the pros and cons of having Canada join the European Union would be?
@morgangay.bsky.social welcome to bluesky morgan!
From the looks of things, you have a very small following count. I suggest finding a few lists (news, politics, science, sports, etc. Whatever your other interests are) and giving the algorithm something else to find for you.
I'm fond of the science feed.
@jleiper.bsky.social Welcome to Bluesky!
Uuh, yes?
Right now, I think it's only me and @nilikm.bsky.social from the public board.

One thing I've noticed is the verification system for news, etc is much easier to see.
For example,
@theguardian.com
is real, because that's the guardian's website.
I left the bird app over a year ago and I missed everyone! I'm quite glad something has finally started taking its place.
I was comparing memories of winter with a friend of mine. We both remember more snow by this time of year.
I was born at 355 ppm CO2 vs 424 at the same time this year - a 19.36% increase in atmospheric CO2.
Gee. Wonder why there's no snow? π«
