I woke up feeling dread. My heart breaks for everyone that feels unsafe. I am a therapist and I work with many LGBTQ people. I’m wondering if I’m even safe. The façade has fallen and I only pray we can take it back and rebuild within integrity. In the meantime, I will love.
I choose love, courage in the face of power, justice, and intention to grow, not because a religious dogma tells me to, but because it is my core nature. It is our core nature.
More and more people are joining blue sky. For me, it’s an interesting format, in that I’m following a lot of people that I don’t know, but people that I do know are also joining. I’d like to start posting more here, but not sure exactly how to approach that. Either way, glad to be here :-)

I love that when I first joined BlueSky, I stated that I like animals, so all of my amazing liberal content is punctuated by pictures of cats.
I’m ok, but I’m not ok, you know? I’m feeling hurt, confused, bitter, lonely, overwhelmed, disheartened, shocked, and …. Resigned? I hate that. Is this who we really are?
I am angry at religion, hyper-patriotism, patriarchy, and pretty much everyone and everything.
Everyone is angry.
Anger is an emotion, and…. It often covers the true feeling. Anger feels safer. Judgment and isolation, shutting down, lashing out and hurting feels empowering. But is it?
