Just back from a trip to Rabat. Much overlooked I think, but a very interesting capital city. Downtown is beautiful with many grand French colonial buildings. The history of Morocco is fascinating. Worth a visit. πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦

I thought this didn’t sound right coming from her, and true enough, she’s been royally chucked under the bus by the headline writer here.

That’s great news Chris. Is it only opening the full length for that one weekend, or might they open it more regularly, if it’s a success?

I love hearing from people who have read my books. It's great to know that readers – and other writers – are enjoying Upon A White Horse. It will be out in paperback on April 23.

That man @peteralanross.bsky.social has done it again. Just finished reading 'Upon a White Horse' - beautifully written, frequently moving, peppered with lovely bits of humour and just endlessly interesting. Well, it does have an end, sadly, but you know what I mean. Superb.

Buried in a quiet North Devon churchyard is Waterloo veteran Sergeant John Hill, who served with the 40th Regiment of Foot throughout the Peninsular campaign with the Duke of Wellington. He died in 1861, aged 77.

Jules Rimet founded the football club Red Star in Paris.

While Rimet went on to organise the World Cup, Red Star became a symbol of WWII resistance and left-wing activism.

β€˜Like an electrical gong bath!’ The Sheffield supermarket going viral for the symphonic sound of its freezers Redditors are thrilled by the Co-op on Ecclesall Road, where a magnificent drone is reminiscent of Brian Eno’s ambient music. We take a visit to the back aisles

If I lived in Sheffield, I’d go and hang out by these freezers. There are probably worse ways to spend your day …

Yeah I’ve checked the site, but not sure how up to date that info is. There’s conflicting info out there saying the on site lockers are not operational.
