I’ve made so many lifelong friends through GB too. A moment that’s crystalized in memory is the one time I guested on the Bombcast…because it was the same morning we found out USgamer was being shut down and couldn’t talk about it publicly yet. If I seemed off then, uhhhh that was why lmao
And Giant Bomb. An inspiration for a career talking about games, a constant companion through adulthood for me. From Bombcast to Beastcast to Blight Club, I’ve shared laughs through so many of the site’s iterations and been blessed enough to guest across a stream here and there in my media days.
I only wrote once for Polygon over my freelance years, but it’s a site I’ve always admired for the opportunities it gave young up-and-coming writers like me and how it valued quality crit and reporting. I’m so so so sad for so many of my talented friends who are now unemployed.
