Fun 1st film trivia: the kidnapper in the black shirt was actually an assistant camera person. Another actor bailed when he showed up and learned that he wasn't the main dude, Fester. In the midst of a mad scramble, the AC was just like "I'll do it". It was his only acting credit. Dude killed it.
The OG was MY MOVIE for a good while growing up. Kick Back was gut punch. I didn't need dollar store versions of Rocky and Tum Tum. I watched the sequel ONCE and I really didn't wanna finish it. But Knuckle Up was all I needed to grant the franchise forgiveness.

Do you think studios hire specific directors and greenlight BAD movies on purpose so that audiences will appreciate everything else more?
Example: Paul WS Anderson movies. You look at his filmography and there’s nothing of notable brilliance. Just lots of “guilty pleasures.”
