Abortion is healthcare. And like any medical decision, it should be between the patient, doctor, and their support system. The government has no place in this decision. As a ER nurse, I’ve seen the consequences of women being denied access to that care. I’m proud to be endorsed by Personal PAC.

When it gets cold and stormy, we stick together. Thank you to everyone who showed up and who keeps showing up. Thank you to the family that brought us home made donuts and hot chocolate. And thank you most of all to everyone in this community who shows time and time again that fear does not win.

I was grateful to attend the Illinois Commission of Diversity and Human Relations 56th annual dinner honoring the memory and legacy of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Thank you to Rev. Clyde Brooks and all of the speakers for your inspiring words and encouraging message.

I love spending weekends in project mode. I got to spend my Saturday helping to assemble homemade whistle kits and Know Your Rights information with other women in the area to help protect the community. I also got to help prepare a meal to donate to our neighbors at Journey’s Road Home.

Tonight, we come together as a community to stand in solidarity. Join us at your local candlelight vigil. I will be attending the vigil in Barrington and Palatine (happening at 5 PM after the weekly rally). I hope to see you there.

As a nurse I made the decision to run for State Representative to fight for all of our healthcare system. This not only includes our patients but also those who serve at the bedside, in the office and in the field. I am proud to be endorsed by Nurses PAC, an organization representing nurses in IL.
