OK, kind of bizarre, but my wife and I are both putting this on a must see list!
Well, the only broad cast I could get is on RDS. (Everyone else i n the house is saying WTF as they pass by. Fortunately I understand French.
Two words: Unplanned Event.
Yeah. I paid off my mortgage (now own my home free and clear) and credit score went down?!
A quick search turns up Juno, Roman goddess of marriage.
A huge flame in the distance looks like an artificial sun.
View out my living room window one evening earlier this week. Chemical plant flare really lighting up the night.
(I refer to it as the eye of Sauron. I am obviously living in Mordor.)
It's rather boring.
Stack of ten books.
Just picked up my copy today. (Ordered it about 10 days ago)
May be a bit before I read it. My TBR pile yesterday:
This Amazon nonsense ticks me off.
I am once again extremely annoyed that I cannot watch tonight's Ottawa Senators game. I pay for the NHL Centre Ice service, which is touted as providing coverage of all the NHL games. Sorry Bezos, still not getting me to subscribe to Amazon Prime.
IMHO, a review of someone's work is generally of little use to the creator. (Unless you are their editor, or have specifically been asked by them.)

That could depend on whether it is inhabited. If inhabited, a planet should be referred to by the native's name for it. Uninhibited, catalog references are fine.
As a toddler, I was kind of a poster child for why kitchen appliance electrical cords need to be out of reach. Electric kettle, with max quantity of water at a full boil ... well, you can picture the rest of that story.
Went to the movie theater to see Red One. I agree, it is a lot of fun. All of the cast were marvelous in their roles. While it may not be great art, but sometimes all you want is a good time.
I can forsee the line "It doesn't work like that" becoming a favorite quote.
Probably because it's the one I grew up watching, I still see Alastair Sim as the definitive Scrooge. Also, as a kid, some of the scenes scared the crap out of me!
Along that line ... I was looking for pitas in the store today, and all I could see were different types (flavours?) of naan. Lots of tortillas as well.
I hear ya. Whatever happened to those Senators teams that were the "comeback kids?"
Am I the only one looking for the mote?
Once again, my Ottawa Senators lose. Looks like they're well on the way to another season of futility. Oh, how I miss those magical runs where anything seemed possible.
Ok. Looks like it's fixed. But any previous posts still show that. Oh well.
Invalid handle? What the heck?
I look out the front window of my house, and often end up muttering "eye of Sauron" (chemical plant just down the road often has a very impressive flare going.)
4 men in ww2 military uniforms
With remembrance day tomorrow, thought it would be good time to post this. 4 brothers on leave in London. Probably 1943, as my Uncle Ron (on right) was shot down into North Sea sometime that year. 2 yes as POW. My Dad, 2nd from right.
Fabulous! Thoroughly enjoyed that.
The "nuclear block" function here is awesome! I was somewhat disappointed that less than a week in here, I had to use it. It works great, though. I can see that being a major factor in keeping it nicer here.
The quote goes back a long way. It's definitely not made up by the screenwriter. Probably picked it up from the same sources where I had read it. Unfortunately, at my age and a few mega purges of my library (due to relocations), I can't pin down exactly where I first came across it.
Unplanned Event.
I sometimes watch them to see the places in the town I lived in until 2 years ago. A lot of the hallmark movies were filmed there. Also to see if I recognize any of the extras.
