True story, CCS in Alberta has cost $150-$190/metric ton.

On my farm we have sequestered carbon for $35/metric ton. But as a farmer I get penalized subsidizing these more expensive carbon sequestration schemes, instead of being able to sell my carbon at market rate.

My taxes go to fund them, leaving social services unfunded.
I pay at the pump for fuel surcharges and taxes.
I pay with the ongoing damage of climate change.

It's a mess.
