An important reminder to all the conference attendees🤣
Thanks!
Very wise!
Thank you for everything, Helen. Even though we’ve never met in person, I’ve gotten to know you through your writings and posts. You are simply amazing❤️

Here's the intro to the chapter.
Oxford Handbook of Chinese Philosophy, a decade in making, is finally out! I contribute a chapter, "When Buddha Nature Was Not Buddha Nature: Fo’xing, Shen, and the Birth of a Universal Mind in Early Medieval China." Abstract is attached. Woke up this morning, still full of joy and gratitude to all the friends coming from all over the world to participate in this year's Rutgers Workshop on Chinese Philosophy. We got to enjoy each other's company while indulging ourselves in debating the finer points of classical Chinese philosophy.
This year's Rutgers Workshop on Chinese philosophy will be a two-day in-person conference, "Moral Conflict in Early Chinese Philosophy," on Thursday and Friday next week, April 10-11. Everybody is welcome, but registration is required. Here's the link for details:

Beautiful meditation: "To become old is to become 'other' to oneself, 'other' to one’s friends and family, to one’s world. Losses have broken up familiar boundaries, violated definitions, revealed unsuspected landscapes, opened ways of thinking and feeling previously unimagined."

During a quick trip to Toronto several days ago, we had a chance to visit the famous Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) near University of Toronto. ROM has a rather impressive collection of Chinese art. Definitely worth a look.
Wow, same time, same location, four conferences! That's some serious Buddhist feast!
I almost forgot how impressive NYC can be, especially from high above. Had brunch with friends at Dim Sum Palace in Chinatown. Dragon dancers came into the restaurant! Loads of fun!
Indeed!
Wang played an additional piece after concerto no.1, but no encore at the end of the concert.
We liked it!
You are a lucky one!
Attending a Conference on Agency and Experience at Princeton right now. It brings together scholars of Buddhist philosophy, cognitive science, and others in a series of fascinating conversations. Jay Garfield is speaking right now on the primacy of experience.
Drove to Philadelphia this evening amidst a bit of snow flurry to watch a fabulous performance of Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto no.1 by the one and only Wang Yuja with Philadelphia Orchestra. Dinner at a decent Sichuan restaurant, Emei, in Chinatown before the show. All in all, a wonderful evening.
讲粤语的朋友如果对哲学感兴趣,我推荐“好青年荼毒室”。他们在YouTube、Instagram 、Facebook上都有自己的平台,由非常优秀的青年哲学家和爱好者主持,非常活跃。视频有中文字幕。

Had a quick trip to China with an overnight stay in Hong Kong, which gave me a chance to visit the giant Buddha not too far from the HK airport. The 20-minute cable car ride to the big Buddha was quite amazing as well.
I feel seen and relieved!😅
All I want for Christmas is to be done with the page proof.
It starts to feel like real Christmas.
This looks like an amazing conference. Registered!
