Not a favourite but I remember Orphen: Scion of Sorcery being the first game I ever played on the PlayStation 2. I was very lucky to get It and Tekken Tag Tournament for Christmas.
I’m surprised (well, not really) that Sony hasn’t revisited the Dark Cloud/Chronicle games. I think a new game in the series with a more fleshed out village builder & more memorable NPCs could attract a large chunk of the cozy game audience along with RPG fans.
The Microsoft logo, but it is written "Microslop" instead. The red square is exploding ; the green one is vomited by an emoji ; the blue one has a sad face on it ; the yellow one is melting.
A friend of mine shared this on a server. Don't use it: Microsoft HATES this!
100%. My phone is 4+ years and still works great. The only thing wrong with it is a battery that runs out before getting home. Replacing the battery is something I should be able to do at home without a heat gun & prying tools.
psp battery and cover
all consumer electronics should be like the PSP and have a battery that can be removed and replaced within five seconds with no tools necessary beyond one’s God-given hands
Nintendo loves the blank Noddy tape approach.
Evening all. I would like to introduce you to my potentially new CRT. A Philips pv203/07. I still need to test a few things to see if everything is working well first.
Thanks for the tip. I sent your article to a colleague at work who was wishing to do the same thing with their Switch controller. They told me they were buy the dongle tonight to give it a go.
There always are. It’s just sometimes hard to see it but it there.
I hope the staff manage to take over the place & reopen it. The staff were always so friendly & treated small bands a lot better than other venues we played. The food was also very nice.
With the amount of history & endless amazing stories Edinburgh has to tell. It’s sad seeing so many places with HP plastered over them.
When money was a bit tight when I was a kid. Those demo discs where the thing that kept me gaming. I was the same with the one of the Tony Hawk demos. One of them came with the park editor to use & I spent countless hours playing it.
I'm very guilty of just hitting the like button without commenting.
So let me say I've really enjoyed reading the fanzine & your posts about games, anime, magazine adverts & gaming history. I can see you have a genuine passion for the things you write about & that shines through in your work.
I’ll need to add this game to the list of demos to the list. All theses demos are giving me strong demo disc nostalgia.
Played a bit of it last night & I can see myself sinking a lot of hours into it. It's the perfect kinda game for me to play it on the Steam Deck.
Castlevania port on Master System running on an emulator . The Dev team behind the game are Code/Graphics: xfixium Audio: Louis the Sega Nerd Graphics: Mondo The demo can be found on the smspower forum.
Playing the work in progress Master System port of Castlevania (version 0.1)
After see this on YouTube I had to download it & give it a go myself. For it being an early build it’s running & looking fantastic. Can’t wait to see more from the dev team behind it. More details in alt text.
Me: Early bed me thinks as I’m up stupidly early for work.
My phone: Here’s a notification just to tell you that Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard Demo is available to play.
Me: who needs sleep anyway. TO THE STEAM DECK !!!
Thank you & so sorry for the late reply. You’re 100% right and it’s what I try to say to others when they talk about their mental health & issues. It’s just funny how the advice we seem to never listen to is our own.
A little retail therapy to cheer myself up. Hopefully it will scratch that pick up & play arcade itch.
Also CRT update. I finally bought a replacement CRT. Unfortunately the seller has went silent so it might still fall through. Fingers crossed.
I need to apologise in advance & I know I have a cheek complaining considering others are going through worse stuff than me. But my mental health this past week has been terrible. Especially one aspect that’s been with me for most my life. Please ignore me if I start rambling negatively. Thank you.
UK trans folks in financial difficulty and struggling to meet private gender affirming care needs: make a note of this and the document requirements in advance.
Since the dust has settled on Forspoken I’ve seen a lot more people talking about how the game isn’t that bad. I might give it a wee go once I’m caught up on my to play list.
Sony PVM CRT with Sega Mega Drive connected and Streets of Rage gameplay on screen featuring Blaze.
Decided to share a quick PSA to urge everyone to play an original Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) in honor of the late Hideki Sato.

I can see why. Just the vile the algorithm throws at you is enough to fry someone’s brain. Once I find a new CRT I hope I’ll never be back on it.
Had to go onto Facebook for the first time in years to use marketplace to try & find a replacement CRT. I forgot just how bad it is on that site.
