They remind us that our strength multiplies when we move together. As we continue to make space where there is none and believe in possibilities before the world catches up, may we walk with the same grace. May we lead with the same courage. And may we always remember to lift as we climb.
They carried out quiet acts of sisterhood and demonstrated grace in classrooms, kitchens, courtrooms, and community meetings. They showed us that excellence and compassion can live in the same breath.
Women’s history is an opportunity to celebrate the women who laid the foundation for where we are today. These women, and so many others, carried a vision and led with conviction even when the path was uncertain.
This moment is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create real citywide change, and together we can make it happen.
It’s stable housing, good jobs, strong neighborhoods, and resources that meet people where they are.
I’m running for mayor to put people first across all 8 wards and to fight for the future DC deserves.
DC residents are feeling the squeeze, from rising housing costs to the childcare crisis, and safety remains a priority for every community. Safety isn’t just the absence of violence, it’s the presence of care.

Requiring the release of police body-camera footage and documentation of federal officers' use of force is absolutely vital for us to protect our neighbors. This is a first and necessary step. We must also end MPD cooperation with ICE.
Today I voted to pass The Full Accountability in Arrest Reporting Act, a bill requiring more transparency and accountability as Trump’s federal forces occupy DC.
She's a fighter for justice and democracy. Honored to have her in this fight with us.
From organizing sit-ins with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee to supporting mass voter registration with the Freedom Summer project to helping create the underground abortion service Jane Collective, Booth teaches us that organizing can change the world.

Families should feel safe going to school. Period.
I questioned DC Police Interim Chief Carroll about immigration enforcement near schools. It’s unacceptable that families are afraid to take their kids to school.

Seniors, students, and people of all ages came out to spread joy and be in community. Thank you to everyone who showed up and knocked doors with us.
There are so many ways, we as a government, can do better with spending our tax payer dollars. We can leverage our federal dollars, cut waste in the budget, and collect on fees owed by corporations to fund so many initiatives that impact our communities.
Budgets are moral documents, as Mayor, I will be prioritizing our social safety net.
The number one question I get is, how will we pay for this?
