I also redesigned the runestones to have a darker texture and brighter characters, and etched a tree of life on the back.

I asked #gemini how people would feel about it being added to #gmail.

Yes #google #AI developers knew their tool would be intrusive and tried to code around it. But a lazy second prompt shows even Gemini knows this itself...

And, my topology (left image) is a lot cleaner (3K vs 10K) with a bone rig, individual parts. And that was without me really cleaning it up. But still.

Also, keep in mind, the other 2 characters I tried were completely unusable. It seems to do a lot better with boxy robots.

It's obviously missing the nuance, like I wanted to give it buck teeth to make it cuter, a shinier metal coat, a bit cleaner. And my topology is obviously much better. I don't think it replaces an artistic view.

But it did turn out better than I expected.

The end result, is we stopped recommending and using Unity for clients after that - and started moving projects to @unrealengine.bsky.social :)

Well, we paid up, and sent proof of payment. The @unity.com sales person forgot to forward it along - so they disabled our licenses anyway. I had to escalate it through friends at Unity to get out accounts fixed. Sales guy replied a week later without so much as an apology.
