I believe the diversity of life is sacred. The diversity of human cultures too. I'm a gardener #NativePlants, vegan, computationalist, and a seed distributor. Trying to stop the 6th global extinction event by reconnecting humans with their ecosystems.

Speaking out against the genocidal state that happens to be Jewish is not antisemitism. That's Israeli propaganda. Zionism and the state of Israel are evil, not the Jewish people.

Speaking out against the genocidal foreign power buying off our politicians, looting our treasury β‰  hate speech.

I've been doing a little tracking of the #Traitorous7, just to try to point out to people that were seeing the tip of an iceberg of AIPAC and corporate PAC funded 'Dems' who will work to undermine resistance, coordinated by the current 'Dem' leaders, controlled by fascist billionaires who fund PACs.

I didn't mean you specifically, I meant all of us should tell our employers to boycott AWS. We're shit at divesting. Pissed off libs protest, go home, and buy from Amazon, paying for the regime they protest.

But data centers as military infrastructure was the point. Sorry I got distracted.

06.03.2026 13:37 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Good, they have it right. If the fascist regime of the US is their enemy, then clearly Amazon is their enemy. As a central part of the oligarchy, they ARE the regime.

Every purchase from Amazon is serving the oligarchy. Yes, obviously boycott Amazon, but also ask your employer to stop using AWS.

Not bloodlust, it's more sinister. It's a distraction from the fact that he rapes children and helped Epstein traffic them, and a bribe to the military industrial complex.

Every time we describe what he does as impulsive and stupid we're missing the point. He already staged a successful coup.

06.03.2026 13:09 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Just remember, when he said that he probably was thinking about distracting you from the fact that he's a pedophile and sex-trafficker.

We should be making it impossible for Maura Healey to ICE over her weak response with strong words. The news on the topic is all about Healey's strong legislation against ICE, even though she's working with them.

Protests at her every appearance in public would probably help.

Respect for this AIPAC sellout? He sends our tax money to commit genocide.

Respect because his card hasn't been called for a vote that's obviously a betrayal of his constituents? Other than looting... when we weed out more of the traitors who obey a genocidal foreign power, they'll call his card.

You fund a genocidal foreign power with our taxes in exchange for campaign donations. The AIPAC money comes mainly from right-wing billionaires who are hoping for some good real estate in Palestine. You won't actually resist growing ICE, the Imperialist Boomerang gestapo trained by the IOF.

05.03.2026 14:37 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yep. Follow their campaign donations and their votes, not their speeches. I've been fooled when I looked the other way on campaign donations because I bought in on the speeches.

Jasmine is a case in point. I believed in her. Then Renee got shot and Jasmine thought we'd miss HR7006 in the fallout.

Wow, they are stunning! And that's a huge cementary.

I am always impressed by the garden displays of Alliums where they stand out of the ground like alien lollipops.

I love the old bridge slumping into the water, and the rivers' edge. Gorgeous shots. My attention always fixes on a plant though 🫒

Allium (Onion) seed heads look great in the center there. Lovely. Are they wild or cultivated Alliums?

"She's not familiar with the details <of the shooting of Renee Good>."

I believe she has had her head up Trump's ass since before then, but not that far. That's such a blatant lie.

That's probably true. At least he won't be spending billions on bombs that vaporize human beings and hide evidence of slaughter. The same country controlling our politicians and looting our treasury is thrilled to see fascism come to the US.

So I'm happy to have Mr. Casino over Ms. Genocide.

04.03.2026 14:06 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

And yes "not a sellout, owned by a genocidal foreign power" is my bar for saying someone is far more trustworthy than any of the 153 "Democrats" who voted to send billions of our tax $ to assist a genocide with bombs that vaporize bodies and hide the evidence.

We need to show up to the primaries.

04.03.2026 13:56 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

He did. I was for Crockett, until she voted 'yea' on #HR7006.

Talarico took a campaign bribe from a right-wing billionaire.

But he's not an AIPAC sellout, owned by a genocidal foreign power. I don't 100% trust him (like I trust Kat Abuhgazale) but I trust him more than establishment Dems.

04.03.2026 13:52 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Talarico will make a difference. I'm not convinced another AIPAC Democrat in the Senate is a win; they'll just vote with the will of their constituents until it matters, and Israel tells them not to.

Show up to primaries! Check @trackaipac.co. Then we'll worry about getting people to "vote blue."

Oh neat! I didn't realize how widespread Turritis glabra was. I know where to find some growing wild in meadows of New England, USA

Feeding Cahokia Winner of the 2020 Society for Economic Botany's Mary W. Klinger Book AwardAn authoritative and thoroughly accessible overview of farming and food practices ...

They talk about other cousins (Smartweeds) in Feeding Cahokia. They were a crop long before corn was a staple here, in the Eastern US. They go way back, like gourds.

Wow, what a pretty Persicaria! The Smartweed I find growing around the Charles River and in my yard has dense little flower heads of florets a quarter cm or less

I feel ya. I miss Native Plants of the Northeast, and foraging and mushrooming groups on fb. But I really do feel better after being on BlueSky.

We will keep posting here and keep growing groups here. People will migrate here as the urge to boycott the oligarchy and their programmed feeds grows.

No Kings As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power ...

The next No Kings Day (No Kings 3) is Saturday 28 March 2026, per an email I just received from national Indivisible. Check the No Kings website for a national map of events, and be sure to tell everyone you know about this through as many channels as you can.

The cruelty and inhumanity of this Administration’s policies have left another person deadβ€”as CBP dropped off Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a nearly blind refugee living in Buffalo NY, alone on a cold winter night miles from his home.

This cruelty must end.

Will my attempt at getting people to boycott Home Depot entirely will be more effective than your attempt to show them, through the people working for them, that the policy of the individual store affects the customer base? IDK but it doesn't matter IMO.

We are both trying to push for improvement.

25.02.2026 18:32 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I still choose blanket boycott -- any particular location is still contributing to corporate revenue and their corporate policy is reprehensible, regardless of the policy of the store.

We need to make the transition to better systems. You choose leveraging. I choose replacing. I still respect you.

25.02.2026 18:24 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I'm glad your self-care builds community and self-reliance. And I'm glad you're supporting local nurseries and the worm farm.

I do hope that you know paying Home Depot is funding fascism. They cooperate directly with ICE and should be on top of all of our boycott lists, with Amazon.

25.02.2026 16:38 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Why? If you have concerns about a candidate and want people to make a certain choice in the primaries, I think that should be the hot topic right now. We are trying to rework our government and that requires discussion and persuasion.

That's truly disgusting. I know how much work goes into writing a scientific manuscript. Replying to that with AI swill is beyond insulting and it sucks that people try to take that shortcut and thereby degrade the whole process of, and power of peer review.

25.02.2026 14:42 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe it's bc of my role: I do everything from data pipeline through analysis on to software engineering.

Writing new tools for data extraction, and integrating the tools into the code is a safe stable way are WAY faster. Now I can spend most of my time on data analysis and deciding what to do.

25.02.2026 14:35 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Scientific writing requires just as much nuance as writing a novel, and I would argue more. But that nuance is something AI completely fails to understand and reproduce.

Seems people understand that AI is crap at writing a thriller, but don't read science, and think AI can write science. It can't.
