Finally found a chair that is good for my back and my design eye π
You know when you think youβre a super organised person and you realise you put a full day, virtual conference in your diary for the wrong day and missed the whole thing π€¦πΌββοΈ
Really annoyed with myself, especially because I missed two sessions I specifically bought the ticket to attend!
I would actually class this as a hobby on my CV.
π³
Nice. Iβll check them out, thank you.
Yeah this is the outfit Iβd been looking at.
Back on the office chair chat. Has anyone bought a refurbished office chair? Is that a good idea? Any reputable outfits anyone would recommend?
Journal: The line-up for UX London 2025
Three days of excellent talks and workshops in the heart of the city.

Iβm here for the nonsense thatβs for sure π
Awwβ¦ I miss the randomness of stuff we used to talk about on Twitter. I havenβt been hanging out here much but in the last 10 mins Iβve talked to people about bookshelf walls, 9p buttons and ice creams on walks. Zero design or digital transformation. Winning. π
One day my friend⦠one day.
9p! What a delight. Can you get anything for 9p anymore?!
Did the same with a walk today. But was very happy to realise there was still sun at 4:45z celebrated by eating an ice cream on my walk. Premature⦠maybe.
Ha. I think I could count book organisation as a hobby tbh. Fiction vs non fiction vs travel vs work vs read/not read. Oh the complexity when the shelves are all over the house and all I want is the dream bookshelf wall. Sigh.
Well this is nice isnβt it βοΈπΌ
A clear focus on political gain vs what people (staff and patients) actually need⦠which surely is a choice of channel to book through and effective prioritisation based on urgency. I actually think the triage my surgery now operates works pretty well. Submit digitally and get a call back.
Which one do you have?
Is there such a thing as an aesthetically pleasing office chair that also offers lower back support?!
Looking for people to join me in renting a cowork space anywhere between Worthing and Hove, East Sussex

This is lovely. Iβm also terrible at learning new things. And my Mum is also an epic crafter.
Yeah itβs sad. Maybe Iβll do it. Haha.
A lie?! π€£
Wow. In half a day I have read about 1 design agency closing and 2 being acquired. Little worried itβll just be the big dogs left soon π’ Is it time for that flower shop Iβve day dreamed about?!
Got 3 walk n talks with entry level UCD folk this afternoon so Iβm actually going to walk and talk for once - not sit and eat a Kit Kat and talk.
Short but sweet hop back up to The Toon to run a co-design workshop for our Rape Crisis waiting lists work. Lovely to do in-person work like this. The humans were working with are exceptional π
Wellβ¦
40+ folk complain if the music is too loud too early. You need to get the size of space just right, not too small, not too big. Always take polaroids in portrait for framing purposes!
Slight cross over with wedding insights here as also planning one of those.
When youβre at a 40th birthday in January and yours is in June and all youβre doing is making mental notes based on your βresearch findingsβ π€
Good to know itβs possible!
Well that blew up a bit! 13 bookings in a day for my free walk n talks and portfolio/CV reviews. People are struggling folks. Any other freelancers in UCD able to make similar offers? I canβt do this alone. Ohβ¦ jobs would be good too ππΌ www.designforjoy.co.uk/entry-level-...
