Writing Prompts & Challenges Sure, they can stretch your creative muscles, but the themes need to intrigue me, take me to places I want to visit, have a purpose, and make it fun to participate.

I don’t like being told what to write, but I do love going on a writing adventure. A teaser of specificity, yet enough vagueness to give a writer some freedom. I want guidelines, not a cage. So cheers to writing prompts and challenges, I’ll be making some.

I used four metal styles: brass and dark steel for the body, lead/pewter on the shield and handle filigree, and blue steel rings. 💖

The box is a short, stocky earthenware type of pot with 5 small metal steel vials with cork tops held to the pot by a leather belt. Each vial is in an individual leather pocket. The box lid has a frog popping its head out of the top. We can only see the back in this photo. The mug is handpainted to look like brown earthen ware in a vaguely hourglass shape. We see the back of the mug with two metal vials in a brown leather pocket, a small bouquet of blue hyacinth flowers popping out from behind it. There is also a long test tube painted to look like glass with a bit of bubbly green potion in the bottom. It has a cork lid and is strapped to the purple belt going around the mug. It is set over a brown leather pouch. The very top of the mug has a potion spilling over painted in vibrant, magically bubbling greens and blues.
