I played a few rounds with Joe and @theslayergiant.bsky.social last night and we all concur, it's got the juice but needs a bit more spices and adjustments when it comes to making it a sauce.
There are so many elements in this game that just works for me and I'd love to see that built upon.

I've been thinking a lot about what survival horror is, and what it could be. Yes, Alan Wake 2 recreated Resident Evil's formula with some wild twists well, but there must be more to the genre than over-the-shoulder shooting.
9 years of this current run. More reliability than hot streak I would say.

An absolute love letter that fully embraces the different eras of the franchise as one cohesive, batshit insane unit. Don’t know if its the best RE game just yet, but on first blush, it may be my personal favorite entry.

Man, I really love the addition of Grace to Resident Evil. She's such a fantastic character throughout - highlighted even more by her incredible voice actor Angela Sant'Albano.
