A handful of my favorite Disneyland Railroad photos. Offered for no particular reason - I was just thinking about how much I enjoyed making these.
ANAHEIM — Some recent work in the wild (disneyland.com & disneyplus.com).
BUENA PARK -- This mornings business took me to Anaheim by way of Beach Boulevard from the 91-freeway an it was neat to see my work still living on Knotts’ big digital billboard -- it’s the first thing visitors see as they approach the park. Pretty cool!
LOS ANGELES — Reverend Jesse Jackson does a television interview outside of Staples Center before heading inside for singer Michael Jackson’s memorial service.

INTEGRITY NOTE: The bizarre LEDE that partially cuts off characters at an odd dutch angle for no apparent reason is NOT my work, but The Hollywood Reporter did leverage one of my world premier images down below.
There was a site redesign 2024 and they opted to not migrate any posts from the previous iteration, so it’s as if it never existed. These days, you can find some of the old content on some fan platforms, but you won’t find it on any official Disney channel — it’s just gone as if it never existed.
This popped up in today’s Google Alerts email and it made me smile. That was a really fun exercise and I’m glad that photograph is still making the rounds after someone nuked the entire Disney Parks Blog archive.

I keep forgetting that I don’t need to take an iPhone photo of my television when Disney+ uses one of my photographs. All I actually need to do is take a screenshot on the app to get a better representation 🤦🏼♂️
Just got a great text from a client: she spotted one of the photos we made together last year being used as the key art for the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Yule Log on Disney+ this year.
I put a lot into my work—so it’s genuinely rewarding to see it show up in unexpected places.
Fair criticism. I havent liked a Nikon flash since the SB-800, which is like 20 years old at this point. These days I use either Godox or ProFoto strobes on my Z8 bodies. I’d LOVE for Nikon to release a great modern flash that kicks the competition’s butts they way they have with cameras and lenses.
I love my Z8’s, but I do miss my D850’s a ton (definitely the last great DLSR)!
