There's some canonical justification for the idea that if you get one of those big unique mutations, it's somehow reflective of who you are as a person: Simmons as a parasite, Carla as a grey blob with no real identity, Morpheus as an electric girl Tyrant, etc.

I do wish to put in place a moratorium on any media having a simple one-word title, especially if it's just a single mundane word. In the age of search engines, even before the current enshittification, you're just diluting the pool.

Depends on the movie. Freddy or MIchael or Jason are outliers, but there are plenty of smaller slashers where the villain gets conclusively stopped, albeit at great cost.

Honestly, I'm a little surprised the reviews are as positive as they are. I was pretty drawn into the game on my first run, but the ending left me with more questions than anything else. As a whole, it feels disjointed.

The Behind the Bastards podcast just did a 4-parter on Mohammed bin Salman, which included the sidelong disclosure that when he was a kid, he was mostly raising himself with video games and he had a Neo Geo. I don't know how willing he'll be to back off of SNK, no matter how bad it gets.
