only indirectly. like, my employer has its HQ in a big city centre. if you drive, parking is your own problem, and private cost. but I can get a municipal public service ticket funded by my employer. so people who don't drive have more money in their pocket.

what's the secret to keep going if you somehow can't keep going? how to keep prowling on instead of just calling in sick, and giving up? any mantras? reasoning ?
now, I know what my heart and soul want to do, but now I feel like a shitty friend and a tad antisocial, and just not sure if l'm isolating myself too much
next year, money-wise, I have the choice of:
A - taking a short trip with a friend to a place I am passionate about (it would definitely be fun), or
B - a longer trip alone, going home, recharging some much needed energy and calm

my takeaway from climate week nyc is that "climate storytelling" is a little too much "we must reimagine our deepest souls in relationship to mother nature and the moral abyss of the polycrisis into which we must now stare" and not enough "ok but get a heat pump"
