lowkey a lot of getting good at music production for me has been just greasing the wheels to do the hard work over the years there’s a lot of stuff that only got “easier” because I worked out my “muscles” + resilience to the tedium and learned reliable methods, you know

the other side of this was a lot of letting go and trusting that I truly will always be my worst critic, and that as long as I commit 100% to having fun and just try my best within that criterion, whatever slapdash job I do on the mixing side of things (or really anywhere else where I personally find my skill lacking) will usually be good enough that even discerning listeners will hear what I made and go “oh that’s awesome”

Many pretty bad music analysis channels on YT tried to explain why it’s good without any understanding of the actual musical elements at play. So to overly simplify: in every single element, be it harmonic, melodic and scale progression. BK is literally unlike anything heard in DT until now.
