The way they roast all these super popular books that haunt the bestseller lists is so delicious.

Is Aziraphale a Doctor Who fan or is he just after rare books, whatever they are?
Deadlines are the worst because they put on so much pressure and when mistakes are made it's always fault of the ones pushed not the ones doing the pushing.
And what's more, if it's convenient to managers, they can change deadlines if THEY need to.
Ugh. Anyway.
We live longer but at what cost...
😭
If the Archangels were already awful and we have to suspect they were because Az was scared of saying things like Crowley was suggesting to say - then to me it makes no sense Crowley would be blind to it if he were one of them.
But if he was an enthusiastic technician, it could easily pass him by.
But also Aziraphale having crush on an Archangel etc - hm, no. It's too much of power imbalance. Also feeds into the whole horrible fanon of Crowley knowing everything and poor little Aziraphale being naïve and stupid. Maybe that's another reason I would not want the Archangel HC be true?
We know what people can be like to others who are enthusiastic about stuff and show joy in something...
It's just that to me it makes sense if they both never had real power and yet made their own way and their own opinions.
I like HCs where Az knew of Crowley but I also like if they met randomly.
I've seen the Raphael route as well, but it's Aziraphale we see healing someone in GO...
Couldn't a mid-level angel be sent to start up the Nebula, especially if no one really cared about it, and as you say, possibly send him to do it on his own to make fun of him?
I'm not rich now so it'd be no loss...!
I suppose I don't like it on principle.
Also in Terry's stories it's always the random people who change everything. Not the ruling class or someone with extraordinary powers.
It just fits better. To me.
I mean we have no proof either way.
I think they both can do it, Aziraphale just likes to ask Crowley to do things for him. It makes them both happy.
I mean - Aziraphale thinks magic tricks are more fun than miracles. He could do whatever he needs himself but having fun with Crowley is way better.
I wish I knew.
The world baffles me honestly.
Yes, that's exactly how I read the scene too!
I always thought it was so adorable and precisely what made Aziraphale instantly care about and trust this angel.
He was so enthusiastic and awkward and in a typical Crowley fashion, trying to insinuate he had more of a role in the project at first...
Not sure what beauty or capacity to love has to do with rank. Those are simply Crowley traits.
We don't know if Aziraphale can't also stop time. If he can't, he can control other things - how people feel and his surroundings.
They both have power but what they have together is what counts.
Crowley was not making stars. That's just fanon. He's starting up a Nebula he was working on with others (and in an unknown capacity which we are discussing). Saraquel mentions another one they worked on.
The prince is Lucifer. Not Crowley.

So many people seem to be like - whatever and they have better positions and pay 😭
Yes, he got them because he was overlooked, or thought not important, or he got them because Lucifer asked, or he offered them to Lucifer on his own because he believed Lucifer's cause etc. So many fun options.
Yes, but that would still fit into, middling jobs...
Crowley (and presumably Aziraphale too) was very enthusiastic about his job, working on the creation of the universe.
But was he a top level? It doesn't seem to me.
I've always felt like that scene was such a bait. Like of course he wasn't any of those ranks, he got the passwords some other way. That would be way too easy?
I need a job where there is no stress. Are there jobs where there is no stress?
I take things too personally (which I am sure you lot would NEVER be able to guess) and saying, oh it's fine, it's just a job, you are not saving lives, is not helping.
Speaking of Crowley, do you guys think he was of high rank in Before the Beginning?
I'm genuinely surprised so many people do.
I mean, what about him says - high ranking angel?
And we can't assume higher ups were nice back then as Aziraphale is already scared of them

Yes, Crowley struggles with Azi's expression of unconditional love, but I don't think he would ever want to change it.
Personally I don't really care about God. I'd be angry with her more if she 'planned' for them to end up together.
I have a little fic on that:

(my phone - probably)
OMG?
That is so amazing?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Michael and his incredible face huh - I am just in awe.
On a podcast I was listening to, the host recounted an interview with Seamus Heaney (about a poetry book meant to be learned by heart) who when asked if learning poetry by heart'd make them a better person, replied - No, but it will make you better at being a person.
Ain't that truth about all art.

I think we should explore this more.
What has this angel been doing that required Gabriel to send him a note over 'frivolous miracles'?
