A weird UI design I've started seeing in a lot of places is when you drag a mouse over text left to right to select it, it drags some sidebar out over the content blocking you from selecting.
Like, I get mobile first design but did no one use these applications?
Y'all, I don't think I'm human anymore...
I couldn't make out a captcha, literally some letters overlapped in ways that it could have been multiple things and it was the third captcha I'd filled out.
So I tried the audio and it was just noise! 6 aliens talking over each other, nonsense, noise.

Microsoft seems to have a new feature when opening documents.
If you accidentally click on a giant spreadsheet and it takes forever you might click "close".
But Microsoft has you covered! it _cancels_ you closing the document and pops up a helpful toast message with "Document still loading"

With MS Fabric being down again, I'm really enjoying the increased productivity and stability provided by our new AI driven workflows. Its really been just an amazing year for cloud computing.
I guess fully AI generated sites are a thing now. I've run into several sites I can only assume where AI, complete gibberish with the veneer of being a real site. One suggested I 3D print a heat sink (in plastic on a home 3D printer) with a link to a different site on a completely different topic.

I used to try to use DDG for ethical reasons. Lately I've found myself there for trustworthy results. A couple times because I searched Google and it straight lied and said it didn't exist.
Been warning AI is going to burn companies reputations and trust. Guess we'll find out soon if that's true.
Apple "struggling" with AI is looking more enticing everyday.

"Do you know what the 5 most common passwords are? Check them out:"
Sure do! Well "love", "secret" and "sex". But not necessarily in that order of course. But also "god" of course. Sys operators love to use god. I guess like "password" too?
