I was delighted to win the Latin American Travel Photography #Prize (at a dedicated #LatAm event from the lovely people at Bradt Travel Guides). A week sleeping in a tent in the village of Afukuri (in Brazil's Mato Grosso) gave me the chance to observe the Xingu's daily lives and their rituals

James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux books set in Louisiana. For me, he and John Connolly are the lyrical writers in the genre. Anyone think of someone like that to recommend for me?
